Pastor Tom Lathen

Tom joined New Life Global Methodist Church early in 2023.  He is currently completing the requirements for Ordination into the Diaconate of the Global Methodist Church through the  Wesley Biblical Seminary in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Tom believes the word of God is active and alive.  “Pastors don’t change the hearts of people, God does,” Tom said.

He is guided by love of God and his son, Jesus Christ.   Remembering John Wesley’s famous admonition, “do all the good you can, in all the ways you can,” Tom believes in serving the community of Salado with the word of God, with service and with outreach to those in need.

Tom knows coming back to church or coming into church for the first time is scary.  That’s the cool thing about New Life Church; we gather in the Salado Museum.  You’ll find your friends and neighbors.  You’ll also experience church in a relaxed, welcoming, helpful attitude in the hearts of everyone you meet.   

While we worship at 10 AM, if you want to study the Bible with other searchers please come at 9:00 AM for adult education; the coffee is on and there’s usually home-made snacks too!

Our new youth/teen study program starts at 9:15 and they are welcome to the home-made snacks also!
